All
our cats live as familymembers, they are allowed everywhere, including our
bed ;)! Me and my feancé live in a house that is 170 squaremeters large.
Two of my cats live at my mother's house. Our cats are not allowed outdoors
except in their exercise yard.
Our
Breeding
For
us health & temperament comes first and type & looks second when we
choose our breedingcats & combinations. We prefer cats that are according
to standard but not extreme. Inbreeding coefficients & health aspects
before shows.

HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy)
The Sphynxbreed is one of the breeds that are predisposed to this heartdisease & therefor it is important for us to only use cats with HCM-clear parents in our breeding, preferably at high age since the disease can manifest itself later in life. Our breedingcats are tested before used in breeding and on an yearly basis. We also test our cats after they are neutered and at a higher age.
When
we scan our cats we use the Main Coon Cat Club forms and engage one of the
cardiologists involved in their healthprogram. The results can be found in
Pawpeds.
The Cattery
I
have always been fascinated by siamese cats. The muscular body, the deep blue
eyes. In autumn year 2000 I started looking around for a siamese cat. I wanted
a bluepoint female and at that time no breeder had bluepoint females. Finally
I came across S*Atomic's cattery and they had two girls. S*Atomic's Beatrix
was the one who wanted to live with me. I got her the 26th of January 2001.
My domestic shorthair, Pumpkin, did not accept Beatrix so I decided that I
had to get Beatrix a friend. Pumpkin moved to my parents. A very hard decision
but I did not give up Beatrix and my breedingplans. Instead I started looking
for a friend for Beatrix with the help of her breeder. S*Väggarps Vera,
Zelda, a black oriental shorthair was the one I fell in love with. She moved
in with me and Beatrix the 28th of February at the age of 9 months. After
a couple of weeks they had become friends. Now the breedingplans became more
real. My cattery was registered in FIFe in May 2001. Zelda was the first one
who visited a stud: CH Topline's Buccaneer OSH a. Everything went fine and
she gave birth to three orientals the 10th of August 2001.
In february 2002 it was Beatrix turn to visit a siamese boy named Ju-Pee-Do Apache SIA a. The 11th of April 2002 she gave birth to five bluepoint siamese kittens. In January 2003 Beatrix gave birth to a litter of four black oriental shorthairs after a succesfull lovemeeting with her great love GIC Moralyn Itzyoo, OSH n, IMP-GB. Beatrix then visited Itzyoo again and she gave birth to five wonderful ebonies the 25th of July 2003. One of Beatrix's kittens, Black Galaxy, is one of our queens. The other female in the cattery CH S*Väggarps Lill visited CH FIN*Quan D'Fense OSH b 24 and had a litter of three beautiful kittens the 10th of August 2003. That combination was successfull and therefor we did it again! The story of S*Zeldtrix cattery continues so take a look at our litters or our kittens :).
